Getting started

From the moment you add Oldwise to Chrome, here is exactly what to do. Pick how you want to use it.

Which way will you use Oldwise?

1

Add Oldwise to Chrome

Open the Chrome Web Store listing and click Add to Chrome. A welcome tab opens by itself once it installs.

2

Get a free API key

On the Free plan you use your own AI key. The quickest is Google AI Studio: go to aistudio.google.com, sign in, click Create API key, and copy it.

Gemini has a free tier, so this costs nothing to start. OpenAI, DeepSeek, and Claude keys work too.
3

Open Oldwise settings

Click the Oldwise icon in your browser toolbar (top right). If you do not see it, click the puzzle piece and pin Oldwise.
